X-shaped legs Desk

X-shaped legs desk has caught my attention.

It has cleanline, masculine and constructed.

I first came across this style at Jean Michel Frank's
men dressing table (1932) in college and since then
I have to like it very much.

I am very impressed with this Crate & Barrel
desk, it comes in white and black at an
affordable price. could be very good
for guest room!

I love this collection from Hermes when it first introduced.
Yesterday I came across it again at Bergdorf Goodman,
and I am still very fond of it!
This collection, Balcons du Guadalquivir,
taken from the intricate ironworks from the
balconies of the Spanish City
Guadalquivir.
Strikingly chic!
The red pigment applied by hand in several layers to achieve,
and yet this is dishwasher and microwave safe!

Hermes stands for it quality and timelessness!

The porter's chair dates back to 16th century France.
These chairs were commonly used for protection from the draughts
when the gatekeeper of a well-to-do family would would sit at the front
of the home and screen guests or visitors upon arrival.

These days, one can find porter's chair at flea market
or antique gallery; and you can use any kind of
materials to reupholster the chair.

Placing porter's chair at the foyer or sitting room
would create a dramatic statement.

And it is charming and intimate experience
when used in a dinning room.

I came across this fun "Curl My Light"

from a Russian designer,
Dima Loginoff.
This design was awarded:
Second Prize of International Design Awards (IDA) competition
in Home Interior Products.

This light fixture is modern and young energy
and I like it creates shallow on the wall and ceiling.
It comes in table lamp and hanging lamp.
I love those colored one,
it introduces a shade of color
into the modern habitat.

The illumination may not be good for reading,
but definitely creates an ambiance,
and an interesting form for
a living space.
