Toothpick Architecture - This is Amazing!

These toothpick architecture simply amazed me!
All are built in 1:164 scale.

Stan Munro, an artist in Syracuse, NY, graduated from FIT, has done all these with toothpicks. He creates famous landmarks from around the world. He takes one day to 6 months to make each building using millions of toothpicks and hundreds of liters of glue.

Stan works on his models at the Museum of Science and Technology
in Syracuse, New York, United States.

Chinese New Year
Feb 14th - 28th, 2010.

I arranged a big pot of Plum Blossom at the front desk, it is a symbol of hope during hardship and adversity. Most Chinese would have Plum Blossom at home to welcome the New Year.

RED is a great color for Chinese, it symbolizes good luck and is supposed to ward off evil spirits. So plenty of red could be seen during Chinese New Year.

Tangerine sound like gold in Chinese and
Pomelo signifies abundance.

Every customer will get a tangerine, a beautiful
red envelope and red napkin. Customers will find out
the surprise inside the envelope.

YuSheng, a special dish that is very popular
in Malaysia, and it is only available during Chinese New Year.

Yusheng is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor.
It is indeed a salad dish, various kinds of
shredded vegetables with stripe of raw salmon and
topped with a special sauce.
