London's Louis Vuitton by Peter Marino

The most current and luxurious Louis Vuitton store, the Maison on New Bond Street, one of London's premier shopping street, designed by NY Architect, Peter Marino, is now officially opened.

The 15,000 sq ft store is designed to reflect the 21st century mood of London and bring together innovation, heritage and fashion. It features eye-dazzling highlights such as two-storey wall of trunks - to showcase the LV tradition of working in leather - and a glass and LED staircase.

The store’s second floor is a separate, luxurious world – the private client suite, which can only be accessed by invitation.

Glass stairs to the lower ground floor open the way to the men’s universe, at the centre of which is the men’s club area where customers and their guests can relax.

The first floor is devoted to womenswear and shoes, in several intimate areas with generous and luxurious changing rooms. Also here is the unique Librairie which will showcase the best of British contemporary Art Books and bespoke commissions by artists including Anish Kapoor, Chris Ofili and Gary Hume.

There are separate, circular zones for costume jewelery and sunglasses, and a private client room next to the high jewelery area.

“People come to Louis Vuitton stores
not only for shopping but also to experience a certain way of life.
These stores, named Maisons, have become our iconic landmarks across the world,”
said Yves Carcelle, chief executive.

"They Came To Paris"

A lovely spring morning in New York City!

sitting on the bench at Carl Schurz Park
East River is still running as usual
the birds are chirping
and morning breezes kissing my cheeks
a cup of hazel nut coffee
reading "They Came to Paris"

"If you are a writer, you write"

said Ernest Hemingway.
Life is beautiful.

Sprouting Bench

I like this sprouting bench
from
Kois Associated Architects located at Athens.
It is sculptural and it reminds me of mushroom!

I would use various
materials and colors for the seating.
It'd look attractive and organic at a foyer or hallway;
residential or corporate or hospitality project -
depending the shape and footage of the space.
This would be a conversation piece.
The bench is constructed primarily
out of metal and the seating surfaces
were made of beech wood.

Knightshayes Court & Garden

It was one beautiful afternoon in that summer,
I left my footsteps at the Knightshayes Court at Tiverton,
Devon, England.
Knightshayes Court
is a large Victorian country house in a Gothic style -
designed by an influential Victorian architect,
William Burges,
for the Heathcoat-Amory family.
Knightshayes Garden is one of the most beautiful in Devon.
Taking a stroll in the garden, one can enjoy the landscape
of woodland and carefully arranged
plantings or flowering shrubs
create
a place of ever-changing vistas.

There are a variety of amusing animal topiary and clipped hedges, ...
spring bulbs, rare shrubs ...
a lily pool and excellent seasonal colors throughoutSenior and Junior Green
