Chair for YOU

All images below have the same background. Photograph was taken at a full-moon evening at Central Park New York. Using computer software to adjust the brightness and color; it looks rather warm and fresh. This could indeed turn into a wallpaper for any living space.

These modern upholstered armchairs by Miami-based furniture company KMP are transforming a simple seat into a veritable objet d’art with their vibrant colors and exotic patterns.

Willem de Kooning @ MOMA NYC

spending an afternoon at MOMA
with Willem de Kooning ...

"I don't paint to live, I live to paint."
Willem de Kooning
Willem de Kooning's painting at the apartment of psychiatrist and socialite Samantha Boardman
"I make pictures and someone comes in and calls it art."

"Art never seems to make me peaceful or pure."
"Style is a fraud. I always felt the Greeks were hiding behind their columns."

"Whatever an artist's personal feelings are, as soon as an artist fills a certain area on the canvas or circumscribes it, he becomes historical. He acts from or upon other artists."

Fragonard Room @ Frick Museum

I revisited Frick Museum recently, and still found Fraganord's work mesmerizing and captivating.

Few works testify more powerfully to the elegance, sensuousness and delicate beauty of that lost world than “The Progress of Love,” the panels created by Jean-HonorĂ© Fragonard for Mme du Barry, the last mistress of Louis XV.
The Pursuit

The Meeting

The Love Letters
The Lover Crowned
Fragonard’s “The Progress of Love”  shipped from France to London and the owner was JP Morgan. After Mr. Morgan died and the panels was first displayed at the Metropolitan Museum in 1914; Henry Clay Frick showed great interest and he bought it for $1.2 Millions and moved the panels to NYC for his new home at 5th Avenue and 70th street.
This would be a perfect room for afternoon tea ...
sipping tea and eating cakes
listening to classic music
and gazing out the windows into the garden ...
