~ Celebrate Labor Day ~
First Labor Day parade in New York City on September 1882, thousand of workers from all over marched from Fifth Avenue to Union Square. New Yorkers celebrated with picnic, fireworks and rallies. In 1894, the first Monday of September was designated "National Labor Day" by President Grover Cleveland.
