Auld Lang Syne - Happy New Year

The "Happy New Year"
Ingredients::
1/4 oz brandy
3/4 oz ruby port
3/4 oz orange juice
4 oz champagne
Preparation:
Pour the brandy, port and orange juice
into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake well. Strain into a champagne flute.
Top with champagne.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A Single Man

I went to see Tom Ford's A Single Man.

The story is simple, and yet it unveiled

many complexities of life.

It was beautifully directed.

A brilliant movie.

A new twist in Bar Stool.

Brilliant bar stool!
It looks like a sculpture in your kitchen or bar.

This bar stool from Supernatural Studios in London,
the bicycle seat-like shape created to fit to human contours,
likely to be better than a flat surface.

Snowman at Carl Schurz Park

After all the good meals and sweets on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,
it is nice to stretch arms and take it easy on Boxing Day!

I came across this snowman at Carl Schurz Park.
The NY cap and the fur collar and buttons and shoelaces.
It is adorable!
The snowman made me smile.
Thank you to whoever made that!

First snowstorm in Big Apple 2009

The whole world outside the window was white.
White Christmas came a little early!
It looked so pure and clean and light.

I rushed out the apartment...
plenty of snow on the grounds.
My footsteps were light and fluffy.

I raced to Carl Schurz Park,
there were many early birds already.
People were smiling ... greeting each other "good morning".
What a beautiful morning!
