Oriental Flavor

I am still very fond of this corner I created for my client in Manhattan. A little oriental corner in the living room. The lady of the apartment can sit here writing notes or invites to the loved one, or using laptop to attend mails.

The window panels on the wall are warm light brown, the desk and chair are in rich deep brown, the red silk oval lamp shade brings all these elements together and creating a lively corner in the apartment.

A little corner in a hallway for a house in Palo Alto. Chinese antique chair from Kentshire, Chinese watercolor of ladies and children in the garden, a chinoiserie ceremic lamp.

This is one of my favorites. A foyer for a client in Manhattan. There are a few elements in this foyer, the last emperor's era Chinese wood carving wall plaque above the dutch-Indonesian Art Nouveau bench, the Chinese console and the antique ceramic vase .... all come together and making a statement.

a touch of oriental elements ....
East meets west
modern meets classic
