This picture was taken in the early 2000 in Palo Alto. Looking at it now, I am still fond of this piece of chair I got for my client. I found this root chair in NYC, originally from China. It was carved from a giant tree root, so it was unlikely to have another identical chair, very organic, every piece is unique and has it own characteristic. This is not a chair one would lounge or take a nap, but it is definitely a conversation piece for an interior space, and most of all it is an art piece to look at.
